JAM Reviews The Greatest Story Ever Told from MGM/20th Century Fox Home Entertainment

The Greatest Story Ever Told: Blu-Ray: MGM /Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment
Review by JAM

Sometimes what seems to be right might not always work out for the best. Yet sometimes over time, things might just look a little different in a different light.

The Greatest Story Ever Told was a massive undertaking for its time, directed by George Stevens as a labor of love. Known for previous classics such as Shane, Giant, and The Diary of Anne Frank, Stevens wished to make an epic retelling of the story of Jesus from birth to death which became a bloated budget and a commercial failure. And yet its name still draws people’s attention and interest and MGM has opened its vaults and now rereleased it with a Blu-ray release.
